Frequently Asked Questions

Will working with AXIS Staffing cost me anything?

No. We’re hired by our Client companies to find the best people for their open positions. We charge them a fee for our service, but there is never any cost to you.

Who will see my resume?

The staff at AXIS Staffing will contact you before sending your resume to any Client company. First, we will tell you about the open position. Then, we will make sure you are available for the assignment. Finally, we will get your permission to send your resume.

How does the interview process work?

The interview process works differently with each company. Some companies will want to do several phone interviews before bringing you in for a face-to-face interview; some will want to see you in person for the first interview. Your staffing consultant will tell you about each company as you go through the process.

What types of client companies do you work with?

AXIS Staffing does not specialize in a particular type of company. We place people in specific positions in a wide variety of companies. We have placed people in large multi-national companies, start-up ventures and small companies with just three or four employees.

Will you help me prepare for the interview?

AXIS Staffing will provide you with every piece of information available to help you with the interview process. We will provide you with information about the company, get you to their web site, review the job description with you and tell you anything we know about the person you will be meeting with.

How do I get paid?

When you are contracted out to a client company, AXIS Staffing will be your employer of record. We will issue you a paycheck and cover you for workman's compensation insurance, as well as pay all federally mandated taxes related to the cost of your employment. As long as you submit your time card on time every Monday, you will receive your paycheck every Friday.

What is Temp-to-Hire and how do I benefit from it?

Temp-to-Hire is a contract arrangement where you work for an AXIS Staffing Client for a period of up to 16 weeks. At the end of the 16 weeks, the Client will have the option of buying out your contract and hiring you permanently. If the Client chooses to do this, you will have the option of transferring from being an AXIS Staffing employee to an employee of the Client company. If you and the Client decide that you want to make the work arrangement permanent before the 16 weeks is up, or if either of you want out of the assignment for any reason, AXIS Staffing can end the contract or adjust it accordingly.

This arrangement allows you to work with several different companies before you commit to a permanent placement with one company.
